ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus have decided to put negotiations for Sancho on hold. Despite long-standing interest, the club are not pushing to close the deal. They’ve recently signed Conceicao from Porto for €32 million (£28m/$37m) and want sell at least one winger, with Nico Gonzalez and Timothy Weah on the chopping board, before any further additions.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Juve's move for Sancho had seemed promising, but he could still end up at another Serie A side, with Inter are reportedly interested in signing him. Manchester United are particularly eager to sell Sancho and fear they will still have the England winger and Antony on their books come transfer deadline day on September 1.

DID YOU KNOW?
The 25-year-old English winger has not played a competitive match for United since September 2023 after his fallout with Erik ten Hag, and current boss Ruben Amorim has no interest in including him in the squad next season. Sancho, along with Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia, has been made to train alone after 5pm by United.

WHAT NEXT FOR SANCHO?
Unless Juventus can offload one or more wingers, Sancho’s move is unlikely to progress. Marseille have reportedly reached an agreement with Weah, and if that deal goes through, Juve may resume talks with United later in the window.
