The South American is only tied to a contract through to the summer of 2024, but fresh terms have been speculated on for some time and Vinicius has stated that he wants to spend the rest of his career with the Spanish giants. He has told : “It is always an honour the affection I receive from these fans and the one I have for them. I am very happy to play here and I want to continue playing here for the rest of my life.”

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Vinicius – who was included on the 30-man longlist for the 2023 Ballon d’Or – is expected to sign a new deal with Real at some stage, with that agreement set to bring any exit talk to a close as he is freed to focus on unlocking even more potential in his game.
